 One less bishop in the d’Estouteville line


Bishop Paul Eusebius Mea Kaiuea, M.S.C., Bishop emeritus of Tarawa and Nauru, Kiribati, died on 24 June 2021 in the Tungaru Central Hospital, Nawerewere, Tarawa.  May he rest in peace.

It should be noted that Bishop Mea Kaiuea was among a handful of bishops who were previously known as members of the Ravizza line, a line which was discovered to be part of the d'Estouteville line. 

His death reduces the number of living members of the d’Estouteville line to 41. Here is the updated list:
