ADDITIONAL CHANGES to the d’ESTOUTEVILLE LINE

There have been three changes to the d’Estouteville line in the months of March and April 2018.  On March 9, 2018, Bishop Jean-Marie Le Vert, Bishop emeritus of Quimper, was named Titular Bishop of Briançonnet and Auxiliary Bishop of Bordeaux.

A new member of the d”Estouteville line was added on April 15, 2018, with the episcopal ordination of Bishop Philippe Christory, of the Community of the Emmanuel, as Bishop of Chartres. His episcopal ordination took place in the Cathedral of Chartres and his principal ordaining bishop was Archbishop Bernard Nicolas Aubertin, O.Cist., Archbishop of Tours.

Archbishop Pierre Plateau, emeritus of  Bourges, died on April 26, 2018 in Saint-Malo. Requiescat in pace.
