Roman rite bishops belonging to the Maronite line – updated 16 October 2025

 Since the previous update of 9 April 2024, the number of Roman rite bishops belonging to the Maronite line has decreased by one due to the ordination of Bishop Kendrick John Forbes of Roseau on 25 July 2024 and the deaths of Kelvin Edward Cardinal Felix, Archbishop emeritus of Castries on 30 May 2024 and  of Archbishop Edward Joseph Gilbert, C.Ss.R., Archbishop emeritus of Port of Spain, on 15 October 2025.

On 25 July 2024, Father Kendrick John Forbes was ordained Bishop of Roseau, Dominica, at Roseau, in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Fair Haven, by Archbishop Gabriel Malzaire of Castries, assisted by Archbishop Santiago De Wit Guzmán, Titular Archbishop of Gabala and Apostolic Nuncio to Dominica, and by Archbishop Patrick Christopher Pinder of Nassau.

There are now thirteen Roman rite bishops belonging to the Maronite line: five in Nigeria and eight in the Caribbean. They are:

Bishop Donatus Edet Akpan of Ogoja

Auxiliary Bishop Christopher Naseri-Mutiti Naseri of Calabar

Auxiliary Bishop Simeon Okezuo Nwobi, C.M.F., of Ahiara

 in the Caribbean:
